When life gives you strawberries…you make an Etsy shop! 🍓

My Etsy shop started off as a small side project during the pandemic. As a lover of cute stationery, I wanted to create my own products based on my art style to share with everyone! With that in mind, I created strawberry.milkbun

✨My planning process✨

The entire process of me developing ideas and launching my store took 2 months. I conducted market research to both analyze my target audience and evaluate my competitors' product offerings.

  • Price Points

I did some research on the price points of other sticker shops that offered similar designs that I did. My pricing also was dependent on how much I was spending per item to make each sticker. I ensured that I was giving a fair price, but also having an ROI (return of investment).

  • Sticker Ideas!

I jotted down various sticker ideas to start with my store launch. I thought of things that I had an interest in, as well as what was popular at the time on Etsy and Instagram. This included nostalgic Asian food snacks, desserts, and friendship cards.

What inspires me

I draw my inspiration from Hayao Miyazaki's Studio Ghibli aesthetics. Although my designs do not replicate the same art style as Miyazaki's, I wanted to emulate the same feelings I experience through his art in mine.

Art is subjective and the way people interpret art styles is what draws me to this creative field. Art is full of emotion and life and can I wanted to ensure that my art portrays that through the use of bold, vibrant colors.
